Grupo Fantasma | Antone's May 7th-8th






One of the hardest working bands in show business, Grupo Fantasma, performs on its home turf this weekend for back to back shows at Antone’s. The eleven piece rotating funk ensemble will be supported by the Latin indie lounge of Charanga Cakewalk on Friday, and the Hispanic alt-rock of Maneja Beto on Saturday, both locals. Fantasma’s new album, El Existential, was recorded at the group’s house in Austin, in true local style. Look for it May 11th, with special guest appearances by guitarist Curt Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets and distinguished pianist Larry Harlow.
